My little universe was besieged by the British navy on the 15th of April. Luckily it was also only a little bit of the navy consisting of my brother, and 4 of his friends. Yes, my brother is an Officer the British navy. My mother obviously believed in diversity.
‘Anyway’ is the Officer’s favourite word.
Luckily for me the first few days they were here was a long weekend and I got to spend quite a bit of time with the Officer. And I got to sleep in when he was hauling the rest of the holiday makers out of bed by some ungodly hour of the morning because; “they can sleep in their own country”.
There were quite a few late nights; in fact, I’ve been out more in the 5 days they were here than I’ve been in a year. Not that the days had any other theme: the picture above was taken at Lievland wine estate. It was the last one we visited, and the fact that everybody was still standing is a complete mystery.
The Officer is second from the right.
Anyway, this is my salute to the Officer. I had a wonderful time with you.
